About Josie Roed


My cooking history started over 60 years ago. As a kid, I would get on my step stool and cook my own oatmeal. I can’t remember the taste of the oatmeal – guess it wasn’t that memorable! I do remember my grandmother freaking out the first time she saw me at the stove cooking in my pajamas – I was about 4 years old LOL.


I have always had a passion for cooking and have carried that passion into my adult life. I published my first cookbook in 2011 – “The Roed to Good Cooking” by Josie Roed. My cookbook was a labor of love. People ask me all the time, “Josie, what type of food do you feature in your cookbook?” My reply, “It is just good food that warms your soul”. 


I reprinted my cookbook three times and currently, happy to report, I am completely SOLD OUT.  I am  working on my second cookbook.  It is a work in progress.  I started The Roed to Good Cooking On-Sight Catering last year.  I specialize in amazing grilled foods that are cooked on the most AWESOME grill you have ever seen, right in front of your party guests!  Checkout the links below of a few of the parties I catered.
